After a month and a half without, I finally have internet again!
Yay! I use internet for so much of my writing process that going
without proved very difficult.
I wanted to share my first review for The Prince's Knight.
It received four angels from
Fallen Angel Reviews. "Watching Aric and Matthew's relationship
grow and their need to protect each other was beautiful." Visit
FAR to read the rest of the review.

I apologize for the lack of updates lately. While it may seem
like I fell off the face of the Earth, that is not the case. I've
recently moved and I don't have internet service yet, so my online
access is limited, and probably will be throughout the rest of
December. This makes it hard for me to work on my writing, since I
utilize internet so much during the entire process. Sadly, due to
the move, I haven't been able to work on any of my projects, so the
book I hoped to finish in time for a Christmas release will have to
be pushed back until next Christmas. But I still plan on
finishing that up before working on anything else, otherwise
procrastrination will strike again.
Some news: Tied to a Demon is featured as a Great Read
on a fellow author's site:
www.charleneawilson.com/great-reads/. I will also be a
Highlighted Author on her site on December 20th. I'll be blogging
about my love of writing and how Tied to a Demon came to
be.

Lots going on this month. As some of you may know, Long and Short
Romance Reviews kicked off its 3-year anniversary Aug. 2nd with the
start of a month-long scavenger hunt. Prizes include 3 brand new,
shiny Nooks. I'm a participating author, so find the hidden Nook on
my site, and then visit
LASR to enter for a chance to win. There are lots of
participating authors, and lots of chances to be a winner.
I've also signed a contract for my latest book: Royal Guard
Book 1: The Prince's Knight. No doubt you've noticed the brand
new cover art to the right. Intriguing, no?
Thought I'd also share some books I recently read and enjoyed.
Let's see...Just finished reading Tanya Huff's Summon the Keeper.
A bit hard to keep up with in places, but definitely worth reading.
She creates characters like no one else, though this series isn't
quite up to par with her Quarters novels, or the Smoke
series. I won a copy of V ...is for Vampire by Adele
Griffin through a giveaway at Goodreads. Definitely marketed for
teens, or maybe even pre-teens, but still a fun, enjoyable read. I
also like mentioning obscure authors, those not backed by a big
publishing house. In this case, I picked up the first three books of
a series called Deviations by Elissa Malcohn, available for
free at Smashwords. This series is definitely not for the
faint of heart (as it involves cannibalism), but it was a wonderful
story, with lots of insight, as well as character and
world-building. For a self-published book, it was also well edited.
The only thing I disliked about all three books were the endings, as
they didn't really bring closer to anything, but just kind of ended
abruptly. Each time I got to the end, I kept clicking the next
button, thinking there had to be more. Still, these books are
definitely worth a read, especially for the price.
